Neil and his van were literally perfect. My partner and I had the best week living in the van whilst exploring the NC500 and Isle of Skye. The van has so many thoughtful features and inclusions and it was so cosy during the chilly October nights. Neil was a very thorough communicator and set us up for an incredible week. I could not recommend him and his van more.

Neil was incredibly helpful both during and after the booking process and sent us some great local tips to make the most of our short trip to Skye. The van was easy to use and had everything we needed, including plenty of storage, cooking utensils, ingredients and cleaning supplies - the bed was also really comfortable which was a plus. Would highly recommend renting Hamish for a trip to Skye, it couldn't have been any better!

Neil was very good at explaining all the intricacies down to the smallest details of his van which resulted in a positive experience. Neil was also upfront and honest about letting us know a month before hire, that there was an issue with the gas system on the van which had developed a leak rendering the cooker unusable & the fridge inoperative whilst off grid. Unfortunately Neil was unable to get this issue rectified within the month before hire which was not a problem for us as Neil kindly provided an alternative in the form of a two ring camping stove which worked fine as an alternative to the inoperable cooker. The van is also great to drive being an automatic with plenty of power. The heating system is also very good whilst camping unhooked off grid, which was needed as there were times where the outside temperature in Skye had dropped down overnight in to the low single figures. All in all a very good experience that I would highly recommend as Neil is a gent who provides all the necessary information for a most enjoyable experience. Many thanks Neil, hope you find an engineer soon to fix your LPG system 🙏

Highland Hamish was perfect for our 9 day trip along the west coast. Neil was brilliant at handover, pointing out any quirks of driving the van. He was always on hand to answer questions throughout the trip, though we only used messaging to send him pictures and test his knowledge of lochs and mountains! He passed with flying colours. The van was warm, bed very, very comfortable and storage stocked with more useful items than we could have expected. Hamish took us up to Ullapool, through fantastic scenery, down various bits of the west coast, to sub tropical gardens at Inverewe, to Skye to celebrate a wedding, to the shores of many a beautiful loch and to the start of many varied and stunning walks. Even the weather was kind and the midges not hungry! All in all, Neil and his beloved Hamish made our trip easy and utterly delightful. Thank you so much for trusting us with the van for a longer time than your usual rental - we know how special it is to you. Happy exploring to you both!!!

Excellent camper and perfect for our road trip over to Skye. The van has everything you need and plenty of storage. Neil was an excellent host and was very accomodating even picking us up and dropping us off at the station. 5 *****

We hebben een prachtige reis van 4 nachten gemaakt vanuit Inverness rond Skye en langs de westkust, wow wat een reis, Neil was vanaf het boeken tot aan de overdracht ontzettend behulpzaam. Hij beantwoordde altijd snel vragen en gaf ons advies over de reis. De camper had de perfecte afmetingen voor de eenbaanswegen en bood nog steeds voldoende ruimte voor twee personen. Na een reis van 800 kilometer en het zien van talloze andere campers, denk ik nog steeds dat dit de beste camper is. Met zijn automatische versnellingsbak maakte hij het leven echt een stuk makkelijker. We hielden van wildkamperen en tijd doorbrengen met koken. Hij was van alle gemakken voorzien. Gezellige avonden met uitzicht op de meest fantastische uitzichten, en op koude avonden was het altijd warm dankzij de kachel in de cabine. Alles wat we nodig hadden was aanwezig en als we het niet zeker wisten, stond Neil klaar als back-up. Na terugkomst controleerde Neil de camper en vulde hij alle formulieren in, wat echt heel eenvoudig was. Wij zouden hem zeker nog een keer inhuren.

We loved our trip in Neil’s van. It was the perfect size for 2 of us and had all the facilities we needed, including heating.
Before we set off, Neil explained how everything worked, so once we were on the road we could just relax and enjoy the trip!

We had a fantastic time in the Neil's van driving a section of the NC500. Everything was in excellent condition and really clean and comfortable. Neil talked us through everything that we needed to know about running the van which was really helpful. We hired the van in November and it snowed overnight while we were sleeping in it but we were very warm and cosy throughout the night.
We highly recommend this van.
