Unfortunately, we didn’t have the best experience and wouldn’t use this campervan again.
The fridge stopped working after day one and kept turning off overnight, and the window coverings were broken. The van waste also hadn’t been emptied properly by the previous users, including toilet waste, which absolutely stunk the van out in the heat. We had to empty it ourselves at the festival which was disgusting.
We returned the van clean and washed the outside, but after a 4-hour drive back from a very dry and dusty festival site, some dust had settled on the roof. The owner was quite abrupt with me about this and asked me to bank transfer £40 for a valet. I felt really uncomfortable during the handover with the way he was speaking to me.
We stuck to all the agreed times but still waited 30+ minutes at collection and around 15 minutes at drop-off. Overall, there were a few issues with the van and the communication wasn’t great, so unfortunately we wouldn’t hire from this owner again.
