A great way to visit Madeira! Easy to find places to stop for the night in all areas on Madeira. Lots of parks with bbq and tables, some with public restrooms. The RV has a few years but still runs fine. The manual shift along with strong diesel engine is well needed to maneuver the hills and mountains of the island.

We rented this campervan and had an amazing experience! The van came fully equipped with everything we needed – bed linen, towels, cooking utensils, even outdoor chairs and a table. Unlike many other options we saw, there were no extra charges for these essentials – everything was included in the rental price, which was such a relief. The owner was fantastic – always quick to reply whenever we had a question, super helpful with tips about the roads and camping spots, and overall made communication really easy both before and during our trip. Driving a larger vehicle in Madeira isn’t the easiest thing in the world, but if you’re an experienced driver it’s absolutely manageable. And the reward is priceless – camping in stunning, peaceful spots that you’ll never forget. Another real help was using the Park4Night app. Campervan + this app = the secret to a perfect holiday 😌 We truly loved this adventure and highly recommend it!
We had an amazing time in the van celebrating both our birthdays and engagement! Madeira is such a beautiful island, and being able to sleep in these stunning locations was a real bonus. The owner, Anibal, and partner were absolutely lovely—so kind and welcoming, and they made the handover process super smooth and easy. :) A heads-up for future travelers: driving in Madeira can be quite challenging, especially with a wide and heavy RV. Should be a good driver and try not to plan too many stops in one day, as parking can sometimes be tricky. The RV itself works really well and has nearly everything you need for a comfortable trip.
