Positief: Camping la Chataigneraie in Gravieres is een zeer mooi gelegen, rustige, camping in het Zuid-westen van de Ardeche die wordt gerund door een zeer vriendelijk en betrokken echtpaar. Brood kan iedere avond worden besteld hetgeen dan wordt geleverd door de bakkerij in Les Vans. Sanitair prima. Grote schaduwrijke plekken onder grote oude kastanjebomen zorgen ervoor dat de campingplaatsen beschut (tegen zon en wind) liggen. Op een 15 minuten wandelen een heerlijke rivierbedding. Een verademing om hier enkele weken (of dagen) te verblijven.

In Gravières, op slechts enkele minuten van Les Vans, ligt La Châtaigneraie: een kleinschalige driesterrencamping onder de kastanjebomen, in het hart van de Zuid-Ardèche. Hier draait het om rust, schaduw, natuur en een ontspannen, gezellige sfeer.
Kies voor een ruime schaduwrijke kampeerplaats of voor een van onze huuraccommodaties, van eenvoudig en authentiek tot comfortabeler. De rivier de Chassezac en haar natuurlijke zwemplekken liggen op ongeveer tien minuten lopen van de camping.
Neem hier de tijd: ’s ochtends vers brood en croissants die ter plaatse worden gebakken, een kleine buitenbar, streekproducten en gezellige momenten onder de bomen. In de omgeving bieden Les Vans, de kloven van de Chassezac, het bos van Païolive en de Cevennen volop mogelijkheden voor zwemmen, wandelen, fietsen, kanoën en het ontdekken van karaktervolle dorpjes.
La Châtaigneraie is een ideale uitvalsbasis om de Zuid-Ardèche te ontdekken… en tegelijk een plek waar u gewoon graag blijft.

Vanuit Les Vans rijdt u richting Villefort en slaat u vervolgens rechtsaf de D113 op, richting Gravières, Malarce en Thines. Na het plaatsnaambord van Gravières rijdt u voorbij de Auberge: de ingang van Camping La Châtaigneraie ligt direct daarna aan de weg.

In het hart van de Zuid-Ardèche ligt Gravières op slechts enkele minuten van Les Vans, tussen de rivier de Chassezac, het bos van Païolive en de eerste uitlopers van de Cevennen. Een ideale omgeving om te genieten van natuur, karaktervolle dorpen en ongerepte landschappen.
De streek ontdekt u te voet, op de fiets of vanaf het water: wandelen, mountainbiken, kanoën, kajakken, klimmen, canyoning, vissen en paragliden behoren tot de vele outdooractiviteiten in de omgeving. De kloven van de Chassezac bieden bovendien mooie zwemplekken en indrukwekkende landschappen.
Rond Les Vans laten markten, lokale producenten, kleine dorpen en goede restaurants u kennismaken met een levendige en authentieke Ardèche, tussen de Cevennen en de Middellandse Zee.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE / REGULATIONS
These terms and conditions automatically apply to all stays purchased directly through the website www.camping-lachataigneraie.com, through the online booking portal or following a direct request.
They form an integral part of every contract concluded between the campsite and its customers.
Each customer acknowledges that they have read these terms and conditions before booking a stay, both for themselves and for every person included in the booking.
1 – BOOKING
All booking requests must be made using a booking agreement accompanied by:
- payment of a deposit equal to 30% of the total cost of the stay;
- payment of the cancellation or holiday interruption insurance premium, when this insurance is taken out.
The booking only becomes contractually binding once the customer has received a booking confirmation issued by the campsite.
When no advance booking has been made, registration and full payment for the stay may be completed upon arrival at reception, subject to availability.
Bookings are personal and may not be transferred to a third party. If the customer provides inaccurate information, the contract will be automatically terminated and all sums already paid will be retained by the campsite. Any additional participant must be registered and declared no later than upon arrival.
In the event of a late arrival, pitches and rental accommodation will remain available until noon on the following day. After this time, and if the campsite has not been informed, they may be offered for sale again.
In the event of a delayed arrival or early departure at the customer’s request, compared with the dates shown on the booking confirmation, the full cost of the stay will remain payable. Please refer to the cancellation provisions below.
CAMPING PITCHES, EXCLUDING COMFORT PITCHES WITH PRIVATE SANITARY FACILITIES
Nights are calculated from 12 noon to 12 noon. Any departure after 12 noon will result in an additional night being charged.
Requests to extend a stay may be accepted subject to availability, provided that reception is informed as soon as possible.
Pitches are allocated according to booking schedule requirements and, wherever possible, the customer’s preferences. If the customer refuses the pitch offered, the sums already paid will not be refunded.
A refrigerator may be booked online or directly through the campsite for stays of at least three nights, subject to availability. The customer is responsible for installing the appliance, preferably under shelter, cleaning it at the end of the rental period and returning it to reception. A security deposit of €50 will be required.
RENTAL ACCOMMODATION AND COMFORT PITCHES WITH PRIVATE SANITARY FACILITIES
The rental applies to the dates stated in the booking agreement, from 4:00 p.m. on the day of arrival until 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure.
The outstanding balance must be paid 30 days before the arrival date.
Each accommodation unit has a limited maximum capacity. The number of people staying in the accommodation may not exceed its stated capacity.
For all rental accommodation, a security deposit of €150 will be required upon arrival. Based on the inventory and the condition, cleanliness and maintenance of the accommodation, the customer has 24 hours to report any problem relating to the equipment. After this period, the accommodation will be considered to have been provided in good condition.
The security deposit will be returned within a maximum of eight days after the departure inspection and verification of the cleanliness of the returned accommodation.
The campsite reserves the right to deduct cleaning costs from the security deposit if the accommodation has not been properly cleaned.
The campsite also reserves the right to retain part or all of the security deposit in the event of damage to the accommodation, its contents or any campsite equipment. An additional payment may be requested when the cost of replacement or repairs exceeds the amount of the security deposit.
2 – CANCELLATION
If the customer cancels the stay, deposits, balances already paid and insurance premiums will not be refunded.
Please inform us by email as soon as possible and notify the insurer, when insurance has been taken out, within 48 hours of the event giving rise to the cancellation.
We strongly recommend taking out cancellation or holiday interruption insurance, including Covid cover, when making your booking. Offered by our partner at a cost of 4% of the total price of the stay, this insurance may provide partial or full reimbursement of the stay in accordance with its terms and conditions, available online at www.campez-couvert.com and on our website.
3 – CAMPSITE RULES — EXTRACTS
As required by law, every customer must read and comply with the campsite rules, which are displayed on the campsite and available from reception.
SAFETY AND LIABILITY
Each customer must have civil liability insurance covering damage caused to third parties and damage to their own equipment, including vehicles, caravans and personal belongings.
The campsite accepts no liability for loss, theft, damage, fire, adverse weather conditions or accidents caused by the customer or by a third party.
Open fires, including wood and charcoal fires, are strictly prohibited. Camping stoves must be kept in good working order and must not be used in unsafe conditions.
Smoking is prohibited inside rental accommodation.
Everyone must refrain from any action that may adversely affect the cleanliness, hygiene or appearance of the campsite and its facilities.
PETS
In accordance with French regulations, category 1 and category 2 dogs are not permitted.
Pets must be kept on a lead, and their owners must ensure that the campsite remains clean. Pets must never be left alone on a pitch when their owners are absent.
Pets are not permitted inside rental accommodation.
VEHICLE MOVEMENT AND VISITORS
Vehicle movement is permitted between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. Vehicles must be driven at walking pace to preserve the peace and safety of everyone on the campsite.
Parking is prohibited on access roads and on unoccupied pitches.
Visitors must park in the car park at the campsite entrance and report to reception upon arrival.
ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING
An electric vehicle charging point is available on the campsite. Additional charging stations are also available in the Les Vans area.
It is strictly prohibited to connect an electric vehicle to the electrical sockets provided on pitches or in rental accommodation.
The risk of damage resulting from the connection of a vehicle to a socket that is not specifically designed for charging is not covered by insurance.
The rental price of a pitch or accommodation does not include electric vehicle charging costs.
ENVIRONMENT
Please sort your waste carefully. A waste sorting area is available at the campsite entrance.
Water is precious. Please do not waste it.
The trees and dry-stone walls surrounding the pitches form part of our region’s heritage. They have shaped the landscape and supported cultivated land. They are fragile, so please take care of them.
4 – IMAGE RIGHTS
Each customer authorises the campsite to use and publish photographs and videos that may be taken during their stay on any medium used for the communication and promotion of the establishment.
Customers who do not wish to grant this authorisation must inform reception in writing.
5 – PERSONAL DATA AND DISPUTES
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, each customer has the right to request information about, access, modify, object to and rectify their personal data.
By accepting these terms and conditions, the customer agrees that their data may be used by the campsite. This data is strictly reserved for the campsite’s internal use for the purpose of preparing the contract and communicating directly with the customer.
This information is confidential and will not be passed on to third parties.
Any complaint relating to the conditions of the stay must be reported on site so that an appropriate solution can be sought together.
The campsite reserves the right to refuse admission to or remove any person causing a disturbance or failing to comply with the campsite rules.
6 – CONSUMER MEDIATION
In accordance with Article L. 612-1 of the French Consumer Code concerning the mediation of consumer disputes, after contacting us and in the absence of a satisfactory response, you may use a consumer mediation procedure free of charge by contacting:
