HossVentures – Vehicle Return Rules

To help keep our Defenders in top condition for the next adventure, please follow these return guidelines:

1. Fuel

The vehicle must be returned with a full tank of diesel, the same level it was supplied with.

Missing fuel will be charged at pump price plus a £20 refuelling fee.

2. Cleanliness

Please return the Defender in a reasonable, tidy condition.

Exterior cleaning is not required unless the vehicle is heavily soiled.

Interior must be free from rubbish, excessive mud, sand, or spills.

Additional cleaning fees may apply if the vehicle requires deep cleaning.

3. Equipment & Accessories

Please ensure all supplied items are returned, including:

Keys & key tags

Roof tent (clean, dry and secured properly)

Optional bike rack

Any straps, tools, or accessories provided

Vehicle handbook and safety items

Missing or damaged equipment may be deducted from the deposit.

4. Roof Tent (if hired)

Must be fully closed, latched and dry before return.

If weather prevents drying, please inform us — we’d rather know than risk mould or damage.

5. Damage & Condition Check

A full inspection will be carried out on return.

Please notify us in advance of any damage, warning lights, or issues encountered during your hire — honesty is always appreciated.

Damage beyond normal wear may result in charges up to the insurance excess.

6. Return Time

The Defender must be returned at the agreed time.

Late returns may incur an additional half-day or full-day charge, depending on delay.

If you need extra time, contact us — we’re flexible when possible.

7. Mileage

Unlimited mileage is included, but we still check the odometer for record-keeping.

8. Smoking & Pets

No smoking or vaping in the vehicle or tent.

Pets allowed in vehicle, but not the roof tent.
